Fab Fri 134

Hi stampers!  This is going to be a short post.  Too much to do and too little time :-)  Happy Friday and happy Good Friday!  We have a new challenge for you over at Fab Friday and it's quite springy if you ask me!

My card didn't turn out quite in my head how I envisioned but I'm going with it anyway.  Usually the ones I hate are the ones the most people like, LOL!

I did my watercolor background on a live FB video last week.  I've been using my silicon craft sheet to do them and they are pretty fun!  I used my stamparatus to stamp the egg and I inked it up using sponge daubers for a softer look.

I hope everyone has a happy and blessed Easter.

Narrow Notecards

Hi stampers!  I've been trying to get the little Whisper White Narrow Notecards & Envelopes to work for me for a while...unsuccessfully.  They are just so tiny!  The couple I've tried have ended up in the scrap pile.  Whoops.  But, while I was obsessed with my new favorite color combo (doesn't look anything like yesterday does it?) I thought I'd give it one more shot.

I also pulled out my Lovely Wishes stamp set that I got waaaay back in November at OnStage in SLC.  It's not really one I would have picked on my own but I thought I'd try it...and it worked!

Check out how cute this is!

It's important to note that these are so tiny you can't mail them but they'd be perfect for any kind of hand delivered note you'd need.  I recently stuck one in a birthday present for a neighbor.  I don't think I blogged that but you can peek at it on my Instagram!

I stamped the outline of the leaves with Tranquil Tide and the inner leaves with Lemon Lime Twist.   The flowers were simply stamped off once before I did the insides.

A couple of strips of Washi Tape and it was done!

Coral, Tide, and Lime

Hi stampers!  Do you ever get on a kick?  You know I do and this time it's a color combo.  I cannot stop using Calypso Coral, Tranquil Tide, and Lemon Lime Twist so I apologize now if you get really tired of them but I'm not sorry!

First, let's take a minute to note that there are smears on my sentiment :-)  I was messy on purpose.  Since I had used some black splattering, I didn't want my sentiment to look too clean.  My flowers are embossed in white and then I watercolored them.  I gave the layers of color time to dry in between and my leaves are lemon lime and then tide.  I lightly outlined with Pool Party.

What's fun is that I have another card with the same combo that looks nothing like this one and you may not even realize it's the same colors!  Are you excited yet? ;-)

Happy Birthday....Easter

Hi stampers!  Easter is quickly approaching, can you believe it?  That means that the SU OnStage event is just a week away!  I'm very excited to see the new catalog and even more excited to squeeze some of my friends!

I was using the reverse side of this sheet of DSP and realized that this side would make the perfect Easter card!  And then I glanced my Happy Birthday Thinlit and an idea was born!  I love that so many of our products can be used for something very different than what they intended!  And seriously, this print of this paper is just so gorgeous!

For the die cut, it's super easy to just trim off the two parts.  I splattered a bit of Calypso Coral and added a few pool party accents and a doily!  Done!

Mailable Monday - Hanging Basket

Hi stampers!  Happy Monday!  I can't stop using Hanging Garden or doing watercolor backgrounds!  That's ok, right?

Seriously, if you don't have this set yet, you need to get it!  It's just so dang cute!  I already told you it reminds me of my childhood next door neighbors and that alone makes me happy!  But it's so versatile, you can make all kinds of cards with it.  Cards like this are some of my favorites though, just to say hi or hello!  And I'm also obsessed with succulents.  I have (fake) ones all over my house!  And I love looking at them on Instagram.  Have you SEEN the gorgeous color combos they come in?

I colored my image with my Blends markers, which, have been turned off due to low supply.  SU is working hard on getting them back in stock.  They have been wildly popular and the maker just can't keep up.  This would also look just as cute watercolored (and stay tuned this week to see one like that...I told you I can't stop).  Or you could use our watercolor pencils or any other method to color these!

I finished it off with a watercolor wash and a little splattering and also added a few black stamped accents from a cute SAB set!  Eclectic Expressions is ONLY available until the end of the month!  This set is worth it just for these little elements!  The black really makes everything pop!  Oh and speaking of the background, I did a little live video on my FB page yesterday to show you one way I do my backgrounds.

Make sure to come back this week!  I have a lot to share!  I stamped a lot last week and I'm pretty excited about it!
